I have been working professionally as a healer since 1991 when
I graduated from Barbara Brennan’s four year Healing Science Training.
Over the years since then, my work has evolved into what it is
today, taking on its own particular form, while being informed
by all that I have learned from my various teachers.
When a client comes for a session, I first dialogue with him or
her in the spirit of open inquiry, using the understanding of Inquiry
I have gained from 13+ years as a student of the Diamond Approach.
Once I have a sense of the nature of the issues the client has
brought to the session and where those issues are located in his
or her body, I invite my client to lie down on my massage table.
I enter into the table work from a space of emptiness and an attitude
of allowing in order to be fully open to intuitive guidance.
With my eyes closed, I often see energetic conditions in my client's
field with inner vision, and I often feel my client’s emotions
and bodily sensations in my own body empathically. I consciously
invoke the presence of all beings associated with my client’s life
and associated with my work as a healer, and so I do not proceed
alone. In that field of empty allowing and Presence, I hold myself
open to whatever directions I receive intuitively.
The session begins to flow like a river, and I allow myself to
flow with whatever is happening. My intuitive guidance often manifests
as techniques I have learned from my teachers, whether it is simply
the holding of a space of emptiness with unconditional Love, or
the speaking of specific words which I hear in my head, or the
use of a specific energy technique. I have no pre-conceived ideas
concerning what is needed.
The field of the session often invokes visual, auditory or kinesthetic
experiences in my clients, and their feedback becomes part of a
dialectic dance. Each session unfolds in its own particular way,
as if it has a life of its own. Each session is a mystery, often
astonishing.
For me, the greatest privilege of being a human being is the opportunity
to connect deeply with another soul, to support another person’s
capacity for radiant health, clear mind, open heartedness, sensual
aliveness and peaceful well being. My healing work offers me this
opportunity, and I feel privileged to work with those who come
to me.
